Hello CRHS, Perrine, Lincoln, Sawtooth, TFHS, Harrison, RSMS, and MVHS Families,

In consultation with Idaho Power, we are happy to share that power will be restored to our campuses momentarily. A Squirrel, let’s call him Sparky, took out the substation. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Power Restored
Hello CRHS, Perrine, Lincoln, Sawtooth, TFHS, Harrison, RSMS, and MVHS Families,

We are currently experiencing a power outage across several of our campuses. Our staff members do have access to cell phones for emergency purposes. We are currently working with Idaho Power to determine the anticipated restoration time for power to our buildings. We will communicate with you as soon as we have this information. At this point, students are being served lunch, and we anticipate being able to continue school this afternoon until the normal dismissal time. As a reminder, during power outages, your calls are forwarded to the district office, where staff members can relay messages to our school as needed. We ask that families use this option only in an emergency to avoid overloading our systems.

🎉 Canyon Ridge Senior Spotlight 🎉 Noah Williams is a senior at Canyon Ridge. He will be representing CRHS and TFSD in Boise next week. He is one of ten finalists for the United States Youth Program. It is a highly competitive education experience—applicants have a .08% chance of being a finalist. The finalists travel to the Capitol in Boise and complete exams and interviews in front of a panel of government representatives. They are tested on their knowledge of history and government. The two winners will be announced in December and will travel to D.C. in March. The Senate sponsors two students from each state to attend “Washington Week” as delegates. Good luck, Noah! He also applied to 3 of the service academy's summer programs and was selected to attend all 3. The odds of getting into any of them are 10 percent or less. Yet, he went to West Point, the Naval Academy, and the Coast Guard Academy. We will hear in December whether or not he gets a nomination from a government official to attend one of the academies for college. Then, if he gets a nomination, he can apply to the academy that he is nominated into. Currently, he is in the top 15 candidates in Idaho for West Point! 💪🎓 #CanyonRidgeHigh #StudentSuccess #TFSDPride #FutureLeader

📢 Press Release: Incident Report at Canyon Ridge High School

Earlier today, at approximately 1140 hours, a phone call was received by the Twin Falls City Communication Center on a non-emergency line. The male caller claimed to be in a bathroom on campus and that he had a gun. The caller spoke with a thick accent and was unable to provide dispatch with coherent information.

In response to this call, dispatch contacted Canyon Ridge High School and requested a lockdown as a precautionary measure. Officers responded promptly to the school and coordinated with the school administration to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

After a thorough search, it was confirmed that there was no threat present on campus. We want to extend our gratitude to the staff and students at Canyon Ridge High School for their quick and composed response to the situation.

We remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community and will continue to work closely with local schools to maintain a safe environment for all.
