As the Instructional Coach at C.R.H.S., I have the outstanding opportunity to observe great teachers every day. I’m a former Language Arts and ESL teacher with a M.Ed. in Bilingual Education.
Mrs. Buckley is an English teacher who has been at Canyon Ridge High School since 2009. She graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelor’s in English Secondary Education and studied drama along with Creative Writing.

A fourth generation graduate of the University of Nebraska, I have taught the social sciences and math for over 30 years in Nebraska and Idaho. I enjoy being with my husband, son & his wife, and our two grandchildren. Outside of school I enjoy college football, reading, and traveling.
I’m an Idaho Native – born, raised and graduated in Twin Falls County. I’ve been married for 38 years, have 3 married daughters and 9 grandchildren.
I worked in the professional field for 18 years and look forward to assisting students with college and career readiness.
I’ve worked at CRHS since it opened in Fall of 2009. Prior to that, I worked at RSMS, back when it was RSJH, in the Computer Lab for 9 years. My husband Scott and I have three children, all graduated from TFHS and all went on to get their Bachelor Degrees, and two even Master degrees. We are avid BSU Football fans, but our 6 grandchildren are the highlights of our lives!
Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences! I am Mrs. Franklin! This year, I am teaching Parenting & Child Development and Early Childhood Professions, Teen Living and Foods & Nutrition. I love teaching Family and Consumer Sciences classes and getting students involved in hands-on learning.
My Family and Consumer Sciences journey began in High School when, as a student, I took a Foods class that created my passion for all these Family Consumer Science. I have a BS degree in Family Consumer Science Education and Elementary Education with a minor in Library Science.
This is my thirteenth year as a FCS teacher. My husband (Sam Franklin) are both teachers here at the Ridge. Growing up in Alaska taught me to be creative and resourceful. Therefore, I cannot wait to challenge and inspire this year’s class of FCS students. I am lifelong learner, and it my goal to is constantly challenging myself to improve student learning, keep students motivated and engaged and make learning a lifelong enjoyment. I want all students to be successful, and I feel that I offer a classroom environment that is conducive to success.

Mrs. Isaacs longs to see every student attain their dream, whether it be going to college, a university, tech school, the military, teaching English in a foreign country, joining the circus, or studying in Paris to become a mime. Whatever your dream, she’ll help you find the path to achieve it! Mrs. Isaacs has been to college, a university, tech school, taught English abroad, but has not studied to become a mime.
This is Mr. Isaacs’ fifth year teaching Theatre and Speech at CRHS. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Speech Education with a minor in Russian Education from BYU – Idaho. Mr. Isaacs is very passionate about theatre and enjoys sharing that passion with his talented students.
I was born in raised here in Twin Falls ID. I love this community and enjoy being a part of the Riverhawk family! This is my 5th year at CRHS and before that I taught 2 years at a charter school in Gooding ID. I have a Bachelor’s degree from ISU and a Master’s from U of I. I am a girls basketball coach here at the Ridge and love to be involved with many sports and activities. My wife and I have been married for 8 years and have a 3 year old daughter and 1 year old twins!! Yes we are busy!
Mrs. Munoz holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Idaho State University, an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement from San Diego University, and a Master of Education degree with an emphasis on literacy from Northwest Nazarene University. She has worked in education for the past 24+ years, and she currently teaches U.S. History at Canyon Ridge High School. She is also an active member of the Idaho Core Coaching Network and the Idaho Association of Bilingual Education.
I am Sue Nelson and I have been teaching math for over 25 years. Thirteen years in Roswell, NM, 6 years at Twin Falls High, and started at Canyon Ridge High when it opened in 2009. I am from Wyoming, by way of Kansas. I attended Eastern New Mexico University (go Greyhounds) in Portales, New Mexico and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors of Science – Honors in Mathematics.
I was born a Jayhawker, but have been a Viking, a Wrangler, a Greyhound, a Coyote, a Bruin, and finally a Riverhawk. My proudest time has been here at CRHS and being a Riverhawk!
I received my B.S.Ed from the University of Idaho in Secondary Education and English. During my time as an undergraduate student, I studied for my degree with an emphasis on students in alternative educational settings. I am currently working towards my Master’s degree in Special Education. And, I love cats.
I graduated college at Central Washington University in 2009. I began my teaching career in the Twin Falls School District in 2015. I have two children and a husband of 7 years. I love what I do and enjoy working with the wonderful teachers at Canyon Ridge.
I am Miranda Ostrowski and I began teaching for Canyon Ridge in 2017. My family and I are new to Idaho as we just moved here in 2016. I am teaching Biology.
I’m an Southern Idaho native and a graduate of Brigham Young University- Idaho, where I majored in Art Education with a minor in Journalism Education. I’ve been married for 9 years, and I have two sweet, little girls, 7 & 3. My family and I recently moved back to the Magic Valley, where we built our first home in Kimberly. I teach drawing/painting and pottery at Twin Falls High School and Canyon Ridge High School, and I also own an online photo card company. I spend most of my weekends playing with my kiddos and working on crafts and DIY projects. I love summer, boating, volleyball, Sunday naps, digital scrapbooking, and ice-cream. I hate wind, folding laundry, frogs, and mayonnaise. I’m hoping to eventually add travel and sewing to my list of favorites.

I have been teaching math for 12 years. I also have a degree in Economics with a minor in Business. I am currently working on a masters degree in Applied Economics.
This is Dr. Teske’s fifth year as principal of Canyon Ridge High School. Before his tenure at the Ridge, he served as principal of Robert Stuart Middle School and Oregon Trail Elementary School. This is his 20th year as a Twin Falls School District educator.
Mrs. Thomsen received her bachelor of music in music education from Boise State University. She is a Twin Falls native, and grew up playing soccer, softball, basketball, and danced for 13 years. At BSU, she joined the marching band and earned the position of Blue Thunder Drum Major for the 2012-2013 season. Mrs. Thomsen is a currently member of the Magic Valley Symphony and was just elected the Music Director for the Twin Falls Municipal Band. “Do what you love, and love what you do. I am an Idaho native. I have 8 children. I love teaching and talking to students.
My name is Darren Van Hofwegen. I have been teaching and coaching for 11 years throughout the state of Idaho. I am married, Angela, and together we have 3 very active kids. Bailey (10), Zeke (8) and Asher (6). I am a graduate of Boise State University. I am currently the boys basketball coach at Canyon Ridge. Love working with these young and talented athletes at Canyon Ridge! Go Hawks!
Married to Chrissy for 13 years. One child, Christian 9. Coaches Football and Softball. Has been teaching at Canyon Ridge for 3 years.
Mrs. Weatherford has lived in the Magic Valley since the age of 3. She attended and graduated from Twin Falls High School and attended the College of Southern Idaho and Boise State University. She was a Paraprofessional for 17 years before making her move into the office. She lives in Twin Falls with her husband Terry, has three beautiful daughters Leia (Chad), Allysha, Cassidy and three beautiful grandchildren Bexlee, Thayer and Holland.
