I have 11 years of experience teaching middle school engineering in Fairfax County, Virginia. I taught middle school STEM at Robert Stuart Middle School for 4 years. I am excited to build up the high school engineering program at Canyon Ridge High School
B
Joe Bartley, originally from the metropolis of Burns, Oregon, has dedicated 22 years to teaching social studies. Before joining the Canyon Ridge team, Joe taught in Pennsylvania, at O’Leary Middle School, and South Hills Middle School. Go Hawks!
I grew up in Idaho. I graduated from both CSI and ISU. I studied art and education, and I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. I am in my 15th year of teaching, 7 years here in the TFSD.
I’ve worked in libraries on and off for 24 years. Most of my career has been spent in public libraries, but I soon realized I love teenagers. After that, headed to school libraries and have been there ever since.
Mrs. Buckley is an English teacher who has been at Canyon Ridge High School since 2009. She graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bachelor’s in English Secondary Education and studied drama along with Creative Writing.
Mrs. Bullion loves science, and currently teaches honors biology, biology, and human structure and function. She graduated from California State University Fresno with a Bachelors and Masters degree in science.

Mick is a Twin Falls native with 15 years of leadership experience. This is his 2nd year teaching at Canyon Ridge and couldn’t be happier to continue his career in the community he grew up in.
In addition to being the Ridge CNA teacher, I am the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) advisor. I love going with my students to their competitive conferences. I am the blood drive coordinator, NHS co-advisor, and concessions stand manager. When I’m not busy you can find me in room 408.

Born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, Mr. Easterling has a deep-rooted connection to his hometown. After graduating from Canyon Ridge, Mr. Easterling attended and earned his degree from CSI and Boise State University. Returning to his alma mater as a teacher, he is dedicated to inspiring the next generation. Outside the classroom, Mr. Easterling enjoys Legos, reading, and coaching football and wrestling.
This is Ms. English’s 6th year at Canyon Ridge. It is her belief that every student deserves to be cared about, loved, and respected for who they are. She lives in Twin Falls, Idaho where she enjoys hot yoga, hiking, paddle boarding, exploring state and national parks, and collecting sand from her adventures.

I grew up in Helena, Montana. I am a first generation college graduate. I am entering my 27th year of teaching and have taught all levels of high school math, chemistry, and physics. I am married to my lab partner for life, Mrs. Franklin. She also teaches at CRHS (FCS). We love sharing many adventures with our three boys.
Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences! I am Mrs. Franklin! This year, I am teaching Parenting & Child Development and Early Childhood Professions, Teen Living and Foods & Nutrition. I love teaching Family and Consumer Sciences classes and getting students involved in hands-on learning.
My Family and Consumer Sciences journey began in High School when, as a student, I took a Foods class that created my passion for all these Family Consumer Science. I have a BS degree in Family Consumer Science Education and Elementary Education with a minor in Library Science.
This is my thirteenth year as a FCS teacher. My husband (Sam Franklin) are both teachers here at the Ridge. Growing up in Alaska taught me to be creative and resourceful. Therefore, I cannot wait to challenge and inspire this year’s class of FCS students. I am lifelong learner, and it my goal to is constantly challenging myself to improve student learning, keep students motivated and engaged and make learning a lifelong enjoyment. I want all students to be successful, and I feel that I offer a classroom environment that is conducive to success.

Born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. Graduated from high school in 2009. Idaho State University graduate. Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education: major in history and minor in health education (2014). Taught 8th grade history for 2 years in Phoenix, AZ before moving back home to Idaho to teach 7th and 8th grade history at RSMS for 6 years. Attained M.Ed. in Educational Admin from Idaho State University in 2023. Married to high school sweetheart, with 2 amazing children.

Amanda is starting her 10th year of teaching for the 2024-2025 school year. Music has always been such an important part of her life, she is so happy to share that with her students everyday!
I’ve been teaching English since 2012. My first teaching job was in Shoshone where I taught English, ran the newspaper and yearbook, and coached boys soccer. I came to CRHS in 2018. I took over English 10 honors classes in 2019, and I started running The Riverhawk Review, CRHS’ online school newspaper in 2022. My wife, Kristi, also works in the school district. We have one daughter, Lucy, who goes to Rock Creek, and we are expecting our second child in February 2025.
I have been married 26+ years, and have 2 daughters and 1 stepdaughter that all graduated from Canyon Ridge. This will be my 7th year teaching Microsoft Office, Personal Finance, Business Law & Ethics, and Business Administration. I am also in charge of BPA (Business Professionals of America).
Grew up in Southeastern Idaho (Holbrook/Malad). Attended Idaho State University. Masters from Lesley University. Married with 3 kids. Taught for 25 years.
I’m a Capricorn, whatever that means. Someday, I want to own a skunk.

This is Mr. Isaacs’ seventh year teaching Theatre and Speech at CRHS. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Speech Education with a minor in Russian Education from BYU – Idaho. Mr. Isaacs is very passionate about theatre and enjoys sharing that passion with his talented students.

I was born in raised here in Twin Falls ID. I love this community and enjoy being a part of the Riverhawk family! This is my 5th year at CRHS and before that I taught 2 years at a charter school in Gooding ID. I have a Bachelor’s degree from ISU and a Master’s from U of I. I am a girls basketball coach here at the Ridge and love to be involved with many sports and activities. My wife and I have been married for 8 years and have a 3 year old daughter and 1 year old twins!! Yes we are busy!

I’m so delighted to be back at Canyon Ridge for another fantastic year. I teach 10th and 11th grade English, and am a co-advisor for the National Honors Society. I graduated from CSI with an AA, and continued to Lewis and Clark State College and earned my B.S. I love helping students improve their writing skills, and support them a growing humans.

I am a 20 year veteran working in high school doing a variety of counseling duties and even longer working with at-risk youth. I am passionate about helping students open doors for their future selves to walk through. I support an inclusive, diverse, and supportive learning environment to allow every student to achieve in all areas of life to the best of their ability! I’m excited and honored to be part of the Canyon Ridge team!

Grew up in Mud Lake, Idaho. B.S. at ISU-major in history, minor in Spanish. Started teaching in Shelley, Idaho for 17 years. Moved to North Central Idaho as a principal at Clearwater Valley Jr./Sr. high school for 4 years, then transferred to Grangeville high school for 7 years. Married with 6 kids–all moved out, and 1 grandkid so far.
I graduated with AS degree from North Idaho College and my BS degree from the University of Idaho. Since college I have lived in 3 different countries for over 9 years, Malaysia, Israel and Ethiopia. If you count California, then I have lived in 4 different countries over the last 24 years 🙂 I have 3 boys and a wonderful wife. Two of my boys are seeking degrees at the University of Idaho and my other son and his wife are finishing up their master degrees at Idaho State University.
Wendie has worked in education for 30+ years. She has taught English, history, government, ESL, and online classes. She is an alumni of the Idaho Coaching Network.
My main goal is to come in every day to help students reach their full potential in education with the help of technology.

I am Sue Nelson and I have been teaching math for over 25 years. Thirteen years in Roswell, NM, 6 years at Twin Falls High, and started at Canyon Ridge High when it opened in 2009. I am from Wyoming, by way of Kansas. I attended Eastern New Mexico University (go Greyhounds) in Portales, New Mexico and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors of Science – Honors in Mathematics.
I was born a Jayhawker, but have been a Viking, a Wrangler, a Greyhound, a Coyote, a Bruin, and finally a Riverhawk. My proudest time has been here at CRHS and being a Riverhawk!

Kristy is originally from Seattle, WA. She and her husband have been part of Twin Falls for 20 years, raising 3 children. Kristy has taught for 21 years and is happy to be a part of the district in which she lives.

I am from Mountain Home, Idaho. I moved to Twin Falls to attend CSI. I have been in Twin since then. I have 3 kiddos. They are the ones that set up where our adventures lead us , as we are always life long learners.

Sam Smith, a proud graduate of Buhl High School, holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Brigham Young University and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Idaho State University. With eight years of experience teaching mathematics and science in both the Buhl Joint School District and the Twin Falls School District, Sam is dedicated to fostering a love for learning in his students. He is also a devoted family man, sharing his life with his wife, also from Buhl, and their five children. Outside the classroom, Sam coaches football, enjoys professional personal training, and loves making music with his kids, blending his passions for education, fitness, and family.
After ending my first career in the service to our country, I pursued my teaching degree, and here I am. I’m a native of Utah. I was raised in Colorado. I’ve traveled to many states and countries. Travel, photography, my wife, children, grandchildren, and my dogs are my happy place.

Hello! I am Mrs. Watts. I have been teaching for 10 years. I have taught in Montana and Idaho and have taught most science courses. I am very excited to join the Canyon Ridge science department as a biology teacher.
Mrs. Weatherford has lived in the Magic Valley since the age of 3. She attended and graduated from Twin Falls High School and attended the College of Southern Idaho and Boise State University. She was a Paraprofessional for 17 years before making her move into the office. She lives in Twin Falls with her husband Terry, has three beautiful daughters Leia (Chad), Allysha, Cassidy and three beautiful grandchildren Bexlee, Thayer and Holland.
I have an amazing husband and four wonderful children. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Math Education from Brigham Young University. My Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational psychology was earned at University of Nevada Reno. I’m a morning person, my favorite number is 42, I’ve been bungee jumping, and I only have one kidney.
