CRHS Names Head Volleyball Coach for 2020-21 School Year

The Twin Falls School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Linsey Noorlander as the Canyon Ridge High School Head Volleyball Coach for the 2020-21 school year. The Board approved the hire at the April 22, 2020 board meeting.

Noorlander has been playing and coaching volleyball for most of her life. She started in 4th grade in Idaho Falls where she developed a love for the game, progressing to the varsity level at Bonneville High School and club teams. As team captain, she led her high school team to first and third-place finishes at the IHSAA  state volleyball tournament. Noorlander continued her career playing volleyball in college as an outside hitter for Snow College in Utah.

Noorlander has been coaching for 14 years at all age levels, from eight to 18. She has coached high school teams, camps, skills classes, junior leagues, given personal lessons, and built a club program from scratch.  Noorlander has also coached basketball.

“My coaching philosophy has always been to help build a player's confidence on and off the court and develop a love of the game of volleyball,” Noorlander said. “This is what my coaches did for me and I would like to pay it back to those I work with on the court.”

To her future athletes, Noorlander wants them to walk into practice ready to work hard and have fun. “We are going to work hard and we are going to have fun doing it,” she said.

“I am very excited to get in the gym and start working with all the volleyball players! I hope I get to see everyone in the gym this summer, ready to work, have fun, and progress into a new program with positive change,” Noorlander said. “Let's get ready to move into the future of a successful Canyon Ridge volleyball program!”
